Dr. Art Marchand, Optometrist
Dr. Marchand graduated from the University of Waterloo, School of Optometry in 1982. He carried on Dr. Tom Church’s practice at the corner of Lake and Ontario Streets in St. Catharines in June of 1982. In December 1989, Dr. Marchand relocated his practice to its current location in Geneva Square.
Dr. Marchand is a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists and Canadian Association of Optometrists. His professional interests include advanced contact lens technologies, and works closely with our top suppliers.
Dr. Marchand’s hobbies include hockey and golf. He is an active member of Kiwanis, and has served as president of the St. Catharines branch. He has participated in The Big Move Cancer Ride and believes strongly in giving back to the community.
Dr. Lauryn Baerg, Optometrist
Dr. Baerg received both her Honours Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry degrees from the University of Waterloo. She trained in Toronto under ophthalmologists at the Bochner Eye Institute with specialties in Corneal disease, Glaucoma, Cataracts and refractive Laser Surgery. She also trained specifically with a retinal surgeon in Vitreo-Retinal disease.
Dr. Baerg is certified in therapeutic ocular medications and Laser Refractive surgery co-management. She is a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the Canadian Association of Optometrists.
Dr. Baerg enjoys spending several weeks of each year volunteering at a clinic in Ecuador where she spends time teaching, providing eye examinations, dispensing glasses and assisting surgeons in the operating room.
